History of Chinese Food

Chinese cuisine has the singular distinction of being what gourmands term a 'parent cuisine'---a diverse and delectable collection of regional cuisines. China has introduced the world to noodles, Szechuan Cuisine, Dim sum, rice and elevated gastronomy from a craft to a rich and evolving art form. Chinese gastronomy has evolved its own tradition and is deeply intertwined with the country's cultural, religious, social and historical fabric.
