A Beginner's Guide to Antioxidants

Antioxidants are nutrients, mostly found in food, which help prevent or slow "biological rust" in the body. When our cells use oxygen, they naturally produce free radicals which can cause damage. Antioxidants may prevent and repair the damage done by free radicals and are vital to health, fighting infection and slowing the aging process.
